Thanks for the replies re a fair asking price for a TS 870, seems to
fall in the $1,200 US range.

I was starting to get a little tired of my trusty 870 transceiver and
was beginning to look hard at the ICOM 756 Pro II and the Yaesu FT 1000
Mk V Field.

I read all their reviews on eHam.net, some pro, some con.

Then this afternoon I decided to read the reviews of the TS 870 and fell
in love with the transceiver all over again. Most of the reviews were
positive and enthusiastic.

So now I am pondering what to do next. To sell or not to sell, that is
the question.

It would be a shame to buy a new transceiver, only to be disappointed in
a side-by-side comparison test.

Any thoughts re my pondering.
