[Kenwood] Extended Transmit for the TR-7950

Hi All,

I am a member of Navy Marine Corps MARS and our local MARS repeater
transmits and receives on 149 mHz.  I have a TR-7950 I use for packet radio
which I would like to use also for the MARS repeater.  I've looked on the
net but cannot find any modifications for extended transmit and receive on
this radio.

Can anyone on the list tell me if there is any way to extend the receive and
transmit to take in 149 mHz or is it simply impossible on this rig?
