Hi all,

Thanks everyone for your advice - the ones I'm able to try I will and up to
now, I've added a couple of toroids around the mains lead but the problem
persists except, strangely that its now intermittent making it even more
difficult to track. I'm going to experiment today (Saturday) by attempting
to raise the run of the antenna a little and see what effect that has.

Last night I could even crank up the linear and blow UK full legal around on
24 & 28 Mhz (I worked a couple of station on there) and the TS950 was fine.

An hour later I've all the old "RF in the shack" back again at 20 watts and
even on 20m - strange. I've searched for intermittent and can see none, all
of the antenna connections have been broken and re-made. I simply can't
work out what triggers it. The FT1000MP and the 850 sail along supremely
indifferent to it all and never miss a beat no matter what power I throw
around.

Interestingly as well, my wife complained of TVI on our satellite system
last night at the same time I was getting the RF flying around here. I've
eliminated the shack equipment by simply plugging the antenna into the back
of the radio but the symptoms are still there.

Anyone want to buy a TS950SDX - (only a joke !!)

Vince
