I use a Clear Speech with my TS-50 in a mobile environment.  It's 
absolutely the best Ham Radio accessory I've bought in years.  It's simple 
to operate, either ON or OFF.  In fact, I leave it ON all the time.  Can't 
imaging operating mobile with out it.

The time constant on the Clear Speech is slow.  It doesn't immediately null 
out a heterodyne.  Perhaps that would allow you to use it for CW.

Sounds to me like you want one of the fancier base station units that will 
do noise reduction as well as filtering.  The only thing the Clear Speech 
will do is reduce the background noise and take out heterodynes.

I am looking at adding audio DSP to my 830. I ave narrowed my choices down
to the SGS ADSP-2 and the "Clear Speech Base" Units. Anyone have exoerience 
with these two units and/or opinions?
One thing that concerns me is that the clear speech unit is apparently
pretty useless for CW. On the other hand, the SGC unit claims to work on
both SSB and CW which leads me to question its efectiveness at supressing
heterodynes (Clear Speech's strong suit!).  Can anybody help me choose
between them?  Thanks in Advance.
