[Kenwood] TR 751A followup

Thanks for the replies received so far on my TR751A problem. Have 
located manual and determined that the optional decode board not 
installed so thats not why receiver will not unsquelch.  Will receive FM 
sigs (repeaters) and I can hear them.  Will not receive SSB even though 
meter indicates sig present.  Squelch locked up on all modes.  Appears 
that problem is defective part inside radio so will be checking into the 
squelch circuit later on.  Thanks for advice received so far!
