[Kenwood] Computer control question

I have a question about the computer control program
for the TS-B2000 radio.  Don't know if anyone has
tried this or not yet.  My computer is a little slow,
so I am not sure if it could do the rig control and
some of the digital software (like WSJT) all at the
same time.  So I am wondering, once I use the rig
control program to get the TS-B2000 on the right
frequency, mode, etc.  can I shut down the program but
keep the radio running?  Or does the radio
automatically shut off when you close the program?  

Called Kenwood today to find out, but just got
voicemail.  did leave a message for them to call, but
no luck yet.
