I saw several new-looking ones at Hamcation recently, going for $60.00 to
$65.00
each.

Why is this in a Kenwood group?

*** Because the quality of Kenwood rigs is very rapidly
      approaching that of Radio Shack and MFJ. This is
      really a shame because up until the mid 90's, I have
      been a "dyed in the wool Kenwood man". The TS-520
      thru TS-830S were (and still are) some great rigs.
      They started skimping with the TS-570D(G) - no
      roofing filter, and no DSP or notch filter for CW.

       The TS-2000 has been a "flop". I sure hope someone
        at Kenwood turns the tide. Yeaseu is not doing much
        better lately either.
