[Kenwood] ts-870mkII?

Hey gang..I'm selling a dsp-100 on ebay, anyway got a question from a 
bidder...explained to him that I just want to sell it all and get an 870.  He 
mentioned that he heard the rumors/controversy that the 870 had been discontinued...I 
think I saw it on a ham dealers website that it was discontinued, but then I 
asked the salesman up at aes cleveland about it and they said they never heard 
anything about that and that as far as they knew it was still in production..

Anyway, this guy said he heard another rumor that maybe they quit production 
of the current 870 and are trying to sell off the existing stock before they 
release, now get this, a ts-870mkII.  I don't want to start any more viscious 
rumors but this sounds like it could be a possibility...Would explain kenwoods 
denial of a "new" radio to replace the 870.  Techically it would still be an 
870, albeit a next gen 870.  73's..
