There is a mod there that says something about modifying
the Japanese version. It looks like it does what you want.
Very decent radio, by the way. I bought mine used about
a year and a half ago just after I got my license, and
I've been very happy with it.

I have purchased this dual band rig which is limited to 144-146 and
430-440.
I'd like to open it up a bit more so as to be able to access all New
Zealand 2m and 70cm bands.
The unit from what I can ascertain comes from Japan.
The service manuals are as you can imagine not so easy to come by
although I have found on the internet mods for the 733A and E nothing
much at all to do with the GV. The info I have found relates to the
boards in my unit but I cannot be certain that they are relevant.
Wondering if anyone has come across this model and a mod or service
manual that would assist to expand it's tx/rx coverage.
