As per my inquiry the other day about running RTTY on my TS-850, I went
with the MMTTY program as suggested by several people. WOW, that is a
slick program...and it's free too. I made the cables for the 850 and
my PC, that was a piece of cake...once I found the parts.

I turned every thing on and it worked on the first try.

The program takes a few minutes to figure out...especially if you don't
bother to read the instructions. Anybody can do it by reading the
instructions it's more of a challenge if you don't.

I can say enough about the MMTTY program. It is quite sophisticated
yet very easy to use. You can't go wrong using it.

The only think I found out was that these are not a hell of a lot of
people to talk to on RTTY. True, I am not in the greatest location in
the world, but I still did not hear a lot of stations on, especially
late at night.

Well, next I will try CW with the 850 and my PC.

I want to sincerely that everyone on and off the list that sent me
suggestions and offered their help.

Regards,

Bill
