[Kenwood] Re TS-850 low SSB power out

Rob,
  If you need the full 100w from the 850 to drive the amp to something close
to full output, why not simply disconnect the ALC from the amp? Would seem
like it would be unlikely that you would overdrive the amp in any forseeable
case so why use ALC?
