Hi Norm,
I think resoldering on the PLL-board is a better treat to the problem.
Then if you think you can remove the rubberglue or what it is piece by
piece with a plier or pincette without ruin small oscillator capacitors
in the rubbermass then it works again maybe.

potting compound
that causes the unlock of the PLLs ?? A PDF download of the Service=20
Manual would
help also. I've got the damp weather plague here and I understand=20
there's a fix for it.
