Hello Joe,
The answer is, probably not. I know for a fact that VOX does not
operate on the audio coming in the ACC2 port on the TS-570 and the
TS-870 rigs, and I would expect that the 2000 is the same. I wound up
keying the rig via the PKS pin on ACC2 using the COM port on the PC. An
advantage of this is that the rig mutes the MIC input when PKS is used,
so there's no chance of you mic picking up and transmitting any audio
when keyed up in PSK mode. (More than once, I've heard PSK signals on
the band where I could actually hear the operator's keystrokes).
I've got some basic interface information on my website that I put
together several years ago for a Technical Net that I host from time to
time on a local 2m repeater here. Here's the link:

I hope this helps.,

My question is will the TS-2000 key, using VOX, when the output from my sound card is placed on pins 9 & 10 on the ACC2 socket? I've tried this with no luck. I've gone through the manual and couldn't find a parameter to adjust, so I think the com port is needed to key the radio. Also, perhaps I need to make a special cable to connect from the output of the sound card to the mic input of the radio. I'm using WinPSK31, no TNC. Please let me know.
