[Kenwood] narrower roofing filters for 850?

Anyone here thinking about a new roofing filter for the 850?  It is 
such a popular rig, has quite reasonable specs as it is, and there is a 
current focus on roofing filters to improve receiver focus (except for 
Ten Tec where they have had narrow roofing filters for some time in all 
their higher level rigs.)

Heck, I don't even know where that first downconversion IF is for the 
850.  I'm going to look for my service manual.  Wonder what a 5 KHz 
crystal filter would cost to put up there?  INRAD is producing a better 
roofing filter for the Yaesu 1000MP for $165 and he plans one for the 
950 (unless he gets more requests for the 850??)  Go to the website and 
you can download some info regarding the dramatic improvement for 
close-in spacing.  I can't currently afford the Ten Tec Orion, hi.
