[Kenwood] rig rumors?

I heard KENWOOD will not produce a $5000-$10,000 rig.

IHMO; I wish Kenwood would produce a new base rig. However it would be nice 
to be less than $3000.

   It should have a roofing filter, better DSP than the Ts-2000. 200 W and 
antenna tuner would be nice too. 

  Perhaps an 2nd analogue Rx with dual xtal filters.

   If they can do that for $3500, they would give the icom 7800 some real 
problems

    however nothing like that is in the works. They are not that serious in 
being the leader of the pack any more.
