Holidays All,

Well I got the intermittent VFO working on the R820S many
thanks to pointers from the group. And the sparingly use
of (DeOxit Pro Gold), fantastic stuff.

My question is this.........for some reason when using the
AM receive mode any carrier also has a lower level
heterodyne
generated internally like the BFO is on.

Also, I installed the YG455A 6 Khz AM filter by removing a
jumper and a resistor, soldering the filter to the IF
position. To my amazement the filtering is the same had the
jumpers be installed and no change in bandwidth.

This radio receiver is sort of a 820S and a 830S receiver
hybrid, any suggestions are welcome! Perhaps oxidized board
grounds??

Best 73,

Bill KB9IV
