Ed,

I've been using LogEQF and then WinEQF for years.  Go to 
http://www.eqf-software.com and take a look.  You can download a sample 
copy to try.  Tom's very good about updates and fixing problems.  Couldn't 
imagine having better customer service.  There may be better programs that 
are optimized for contesting, but WinEQF does a good job on general logging 
and contesting.  I use WinEQF connected to my TS870 and prior to that my 
TS850 with no trouble.
