It's probably not the battery, it only maintains the memories.
The front panel lights are bulbs, replace them, they burned out.
The mike has cold solder joints in it.
The final modules has cracked the substrate and will not work after it gets
hot. When it cools it's OK.

OK, Is there a battery inside the TM732a? Mine is a 1992 version and I have
never changed the battery and it is acting strange. It is NOT losing it's
memories. This has all happened in about 2 months. The front panel lights
don't. The mic buttons don't work except for the top row. It transmits
just fine (full power) one minute and the next minute it looks like it is
but no movement on the wattmeter, sometimes turning it off and back on
"fixes" the transmit problem. Does the battery need changed? Where is it?
Is it a "watch" type you can get a replacement for at the drugstore?
Thanks and 73, de Jim KG0KP
