[Kenwood] Kenwood FM Multiband TM641A

I am new to the list and could use some help.  I have a Kenwood TM641A that I 
packed away 10 years ago and just recently brought it out.  It powers up 
ok..but I can't transmit or receive.  I have reset the two meter and still can't 
receive or transmit.  Any suggestions? or should I sent it off to have it 
repaired..any help will be most appreciated.
