[Kenwood] Where for repair?

I have a question for the group. I have an old friend that has developed 
a problem. I have a TS440S that takes power on 40 meters but has no 
output (ssb and cw). All other bands work fine.  I am not experienced in 
electronics other than assembling a couple of very simple kits.

To whom would you suggest that I send the 440 to? I know the obvious 
answer is to send the rig to Kenwood but I would like to know an 
independent repair center/s that people have had good luck with. If I 
had not procrastinated so long I would have sent it to Clif at AVVID but 
I waited too long.
