[Kenwood] TS-850 spontaneous transmit

hi guys,

I have a ts850 that has begun to spontaneously flip in and out of transmit while it is turned on and sitting on the operating table in receive mode.  disconnected the mic, key etc. and it still does it.
first thing I can think of is that maybe the power supply v. is too low.  i have had experience with low p.s. v. causing rigs that are controlled by microprocs. to do weird things.  any other ideas?
anyone had this happen?
