Well, it cost me 10 minutes of time and the only effort expended was in my
fingertips. I can afford to 'waste' that, as you put it. Too many people
are too darn lazy to do anything but complain every time something like this
comes along... Probably the same people who don't vote, then complain about
the President. If we do nothing, then we've lost... And we deserve it.

The BPL fight is over, and we lost. You're wasting your time and effort.
The only thing we can do now is work on technologies and methods to use the
HF spectrum even in the face of S9+30db hash.
The FCC is aware that BPL causes interference. It's just that the benefits
of allowing power companies to establish a monopoly on internet access via a
cheap and easily-monitored medium outweighs the loss of spectrum.
(Think about it - DSL, Cable, etc. are very hard for government agencies to
monitor. BPL can be easily monitored at relay stations using means
undetectable to the network users. It would be trivial to simply allow BPL
providers to undercut everyone else on prices and establish a monopoly on
internet access, thereby allowing the government cheap and easy tapping of
Internet use so they can continue their search for "terrorists". Hey,
doesn't saying this publicly make me a terrorist?)
