[Kenwood] TS950 Transmit Spurs

Several locals have alerted me to spurs on my CW transmit signal on both my
TS950SD and TS950SDX. The spurs are +/- 2KHz from the fundamental on 160
meters. We haven't yet checked other bands. The spurs on 160 are loud
enough (with a 1500 watt fundamental power output) to destroy weak signal
reception for nearby Hams.

Searching the Kenwood service bulletins, I found two bulletins that
addressed spurs +/- 1KHz on 80 meters. The fix is adding two chip
capacitors and an inductor to filter out the source of the spur.

Has anyone had experience with this problem, these service bulletins and/or
successfully fixing the problem?

Thanks,
