[Kenwood] VFO-240 on TS-530S problem

The cable is marked (handwritten with sharpie) on one end for the VFO.
I've tried it both ways with the same result.
I ohm'd out the cable and it appears all pins are connected straight to
the same pins on the other end.

The cable that connects my VFO-230 to the TS-830 is polarity sensitive.
The
530/240 set up is very similar with the exception of the VFO-230 being
digital. Try swapping the cable 180 that connects the vfo to the
transceiver and see if it won't play. 73 de Fred.
BTW the VFO 240 should work on the 830, 530, 130 ane 120 radios. The
820 is
out of the picture.
