[Kenwood] IF-232C Cabling

Just purchased an IF-232C interface I saw
advertised on this Kenwood mailman list but
cannot get it to work.

I constructed a 6 pin to 6 pin DIN cable using
pins 1 to 5 straight through.  Pin 6 was not used.

I am using a straight through RS-232C cable.

I was using a LCU-3K interface previously
and it worked with the same rig control
software; so same software and same computer
continues to be used.

Any assistance in troubleshooting this issue
would be appreciated.
