[Kenwood] TS2000 and Software problems

I am currently running a TS-B2000 with the ACRP-2000
software. For the first 2 month with this setup
everything was fine. However, some recent problems
have developed. Occassional while transmitting, the
radio will turn off and the software will lose
connection with the radio. This first started on 2
meter FM, but has also happened a couple of times on
HF recently. There doesn't seem to be any set pattern
with it. I will have a 2 meter QSO, and it will work
fine for several transmissions, but then just shut off
all of a sudden.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have looked at
things like rig overheating, power supply problem, and
the like, and they don't seem to be the cause.
2 things I have considered:
1. RF getting back into computer or radio-but just why
in the past couple of weeks? I haven't changed
station configuration. And why just some of the time?
2. Intermittent serial port-is this possible? It does
seem like the serial port I am using would not work
with my rigblaster. Can serial ports intermittently
shut off or so?
Sometimes the rig will come right back on afterwards,
and other times I have to go and shake the connection
between the serial port and serial cable to finally
get it to turn back on.
Any ideas or solutions would be welcome. I like this
setup, but if the problems like this continue I might
have to go to a radio which doesn't require computer
control.
