[Kenwood] MC 60A question

I have an MC-60A, how do I know, because it has a switch on the
underside of the base. Not only that but on the cardboard box it came in
it has MC-60 written on all four sides and the top. Additionally the top
and one side have a small blue sticker with the letter 'A' placed just
after MC-60. The remaining three sides of the box just say MC-60. Oh
yes, on the mic it says MC-60.

Hi Mike,

I have an MC60A and you are correct, it doesn't have the "A" designation
on it.  It does have the switch on the bottom that selects amp in or
out.  I don't think that they ever had an "A" on them, but I can't be
sure. Thought that at least one other response would help your case.

I just sold an MC 60A to a gentleman over the internet.
He is upset that the mic itself doesn't say "MC 60A". I
emailed him back, saying that the A stands for amplified,
and that as far as I knew, none of the MC 60A mics
actually had the A on them. Or are there? I've seen a 
few MC 60A's over the years, and have never seen any
with the A stamped on the mic itself. Are there any with
the "A" on them? I purchased this one around 18 months
ago, and it is amplified (switch on the bottom).
