The microphone pin-out for Kenwood 8-pin rigs is as follows :
Pin 1 - Mic input
Pin 2 - Standby (PTT)
Pin 3 - Down
Pin 4 - Up
Pin 5 - 8VDC/approx. 10mA
Pin 6 - N/C
Pin 7 - GND (Mic)
Pin 8 - GND (Standby/PTT)
