    You don't say which digital modes you're interested in. However, I've
taken a look at the AirMail program and found it quite complicated to use,
even though I've been doing digital communications for many years.
I don't think it's a good program for a beginner. Also, I believe AirMail's
intended for digital traffic handling.
    I use a KAM Plus (and other modems) here with a Knwd TS-950SDX for
packet, amtor, pactor, RTTY, and the computer sound card for PSK31, with a
variety of software programs.
    I would suggest you look at a less complicated digital program to get
your feet wet.
