I have several request for the selling price of the lighting
damaged ts-870. The W2 offered $250 and a W8 also offer to buy. Will see if
they, W2 ask first, are still interested. The power cord has never been
used. I had
a power cord already tie strapped to the desk when I
purchased, so I just used it. Both sides are fused.
Two 13pin connector's never used. Has the feet plates
also never used.
To answer the other questions;
It powers up with an error, I have it packed up in the
original box. I can get it out of the closet and power up
if you need the specific error.
All functions seem to work with exception of xmit/recv.
The AT appears to work. When I try to tune a wire
it seems to tune with a 1:1 swr.
The lighting hit a 125ft pine about 60feet away from
the antenna(wire) and apparently jumped over to the
center connect and blew it out. The electrician who came
out for the insurance claim believe's it came in some other
way as two desktop phones, alarm system and the element in the hotwater
heater got smoked and also the
receiver on the DBS system.
Avid check the rig out and said it was not cost effective
to replace and also offered to buy.
