One of my radios (IC718) has SSB filter characteristics rated 2.4K
(at -6bd), am I to conclude that plugging in a Goldline to the front of my
radio will result in a violation of the 3K "allowable bandwidth" rule ?
What is it that limits the bandwidth to "allowable" limits -- the mic or the
radio? Yes, one thing I know is that filters aren't razor sharp...neither
are mics (!), but do you seriously mean that in your estimation (as above) a
Godline could get someone into trouble with the FCC ?????
I plugged in a Behringer B1 to the mic input of my IC718 and KW 830, ran it
through "spectraplus" but did not see an useful energy beyond 3K. I have not
tried a Goildline though - hi!
Kindly share your opinion as I am a bit confused reading this part of your
post concerning the "Goldline" and allowable limits.
