[Kenwood] 830S/Heil Goldline Question

Can someone explain the difference between a GM-4 and GM-5 when used with an
830S?  I have acquired a GM-4 (I really wanted a GM-5 but I think I got
suckered to some degree.  The seller said he typed the wrong model in an ad
on eHam) and I am trying to decide if I should sell it, at a loss naturally,
and get the GM-5.

The audio sounds good through my headphones.  But I also think the mike is a
little too hot for the 830.

Any experiences or input would be appreciated.
