[Kenwood] Blind Hand Held

Hi,
I like the th-g71a.  The beeps make it nice and it is simple to use.  The
only thing that is really tricky is to select the pl tone.

Question for the group.  I have an 84 YO, blind, ham father.  It took a
long time to outfit him with a Kenwood mobile/base he could operate.
Now he would like to have a hand held.  I, personally have had NO
experience with these things, let alone for a blind operator.  Anyone
been out this road, with any advise where to start?
