[Kenwood] TS-870 with dual receive...

Dear folks,

One of the great things about the TS-870 is the receive out port that allows 
a ham to connect an external receiver like the Drake R8 series or a Ten Tec 
RX-340 like I am using and with a fantastic software scanning program like the 
World Station 3.1, I can watch several ham or SW bands at the same time while I 
am talking on 20 meters.  It does much better than the Icom dual receive at 
less cost.   Too bad the other Kenwood rigs do not have receive out to allow 
all of them to have inexpensive dual receive.  Maybe the word would get to 
Kenwood.  The feature would be cheap to include in all Kenwood rigs, I think, and 
would be a great selling point.  True dual receive with proper muting also!  It 
is also the best sounding ham rig that I have ever heard.  I have had most of 
the Kenwood rigs and still have the TS-950SDX which I love for its simplicity 
and great ergonomics.  The key entry on the TS-870 is terrible on an 
otherwise great radio.  I had the TS-850 which is a great radio, but I sold it because 
I have so little time to be on the ham bands.  I do more SWLing than hamming 
nowadays.  I keep a TS-50 on the self for emergencies and occasional mobile 
with the Outbacker ant.  Food for thought...
