[Kenwood] TS-570DG

Hello Kenwood experts:

My TS-570DG has an asterisk showing at the lower left of the 2-digit M.CH number. I've not been able to find any reference to it in the manual, nor can I find any combination of buttons to press that will make it go away. The asterisk stays there even if the 2-digit display is blank.

Does it mean that the self-destruct feature is armed and just waiting for the right input?
