[Kenwood] TS-2000 Loss of Receive Sensitivity

My TS-2000 suddenly lost about 20 dB of receive sensitivity.  I checked the 
attenuator (ATT) and preamp (PRE) and both function OK.  I also did a full 
reset a couple of times to be sure I didn't mess up some setting, no 
improvement. The loss is on all bands from 1.8 to 50 MHz.  Could even be on 
144 and 432 but I haven't been using them and can't say for sure.  I usually 
run without the preamp on 1.8 thru 14 MHz but now I have to have it in all 
the time on 7 MHz and higher.  I did an AB test with my TS-850 and the TS-850 
was always about 20 dB higher on the S meter.  My guess would be that some 
amplifier in the IF has malfunctioned.  I would think if a device went out I 
would get no signal.  As far as I can tell all other functions work as 
normal.  Any one have any ideas on where to look?
