[Kenwood] ts830-S Drive requirements

I just replaced the finals and finished neutralizing them when the rig died! 
No alc on the meter. There is a variable (with the Carr and Drive knobs) 
signal on the Drive input pin to the finals board of 8.1V P-P max. Is this 
enough drive voltage? Basicly, I need to know whether or not to do some more 
troubleshooting before ordering another driver tube or not. Thanks for the 
advice.
