[Kenwood] Request idea on where to start!

Hi,
 
    Last night after working VQ9LA I moved to up band [20M] to try
and contact friend in CA [to sort of rub it in], but noticed that
all of the sudden I was not seeing any indication on the meter of
my TS-940S/AT of any power.  I checked the tuner meter and it 
shown the same [about 100W], with SWR around 1:2 - have been using
my G5RV.  I switched the meter to SWR and it pegs!!!! Even if I turn
the power on the 940 down to 0??  This morning I have tried several
bands with same results and have even tried in both Auto & Thru on
the Autotuner.  I will break out the manual [also have the service
manual] after I finish with the yard - but would like ANY idea of 
what could have happened?   The rig has been working super since
getting it back from repair [primarily caused by UPS dropping it],
and I was getting ready to maybe hooking up one of my PA's - but
that will have to wait now I guess.  [Knew it was to good to last!].
Tks for any and all ideas - If it is problem that will need 
extensive tearing apart - then it is back to repair, as I can work
on my BA's and Hybrids, but the new Micro components are to small
for these old eyes.
