Hello Daniel,

I, too, recently bought an old TS-520.  I spent
hours tracing the schematic wiring using a
magnifying glass and a couple of QSL cards.

I got my TS-520 so it now has transmit.
Anyhow, before trying to align the
receiver, check the JJY (WWV) switch.
As I recall, the RX antenna connection
goes through that switch.

Also, there is a lot of BIAS voltages
that are switched to 'quiet' the RX in
transmitting.  Something there could
be wrong.

You will need a sweep generator to
align part of RX the circuit, so check
out everything else before attempting
alignment (unless you have a sweep
generator, hi).

The reason I did not post this on the
