Dave,

I'm not an attorney (and I haven't played one on TV either) but unless you
specifically said that the purchaser must be a licensed amateur radio
operator...you don't have grounds to void the deal.  I AGREE TOTALLY that
this guy should not be handed a high power piece of equipment that can be
used to destroy the reputation of legitimate hams everywhere...but.....you
made a legitimate offer, and he has fulfilled his obligation by sending the
money.  Besides, what will stop him from buying from someone else or having
one of those alleged hams (passed the test but continue to practice CB
techniques) purchase it for him.

And hey, who knows maybe he will "grow up" and get a license.  Of course,
the Earth and Moon may collide in the next few minutes.

Guess we all can take a lesson from this and ad the "must have valid
amateur radio operator license" statement to each sale.  And like someone
said, the fact that you are questioning this means your heart is in the
right place.

before.  I recently advertised a TS-830s for sale through the QTH.com
classifieds.  Almost immediately the rig was sold to a gentleman in
Florida.  Cashiers check arrives a couple of days later and as I ready
everything I check, using qrz.com, the guy's call and find out the name
listed with the call and his name are very much different.  I also
notice that he has invited me to join him a "QOS" on a CB frequency
once the equipment arrives and he has everything set up."
