[Kenwood] H/T Security Problems?

As a follow up to my previous post I will post another experience but
not relating to carrying equipment.  While in Manila I made a 4 day
side trip to Bangkok.  On the return leg, Bangkok to Manila on
Philippine Airlines we were sitting at the loading dock for about 45
minutes.  The Flight Attendants kept counting seats.  I knew it was a
full flight and thought they were looking for empty seats for any
standby PAX.  Then they kept calling out a name to please raise their
hand if they were on the plane.  Turns out someone had checked baggage
on the flight but had failed to board the plane.  After waiting about
45 minutes for this person to show up they announced they would have
to unload all the baggage to find the piece of baggage this person had
checked and unload it.  Once they had almost all the baggage off a
teen age girl showed up who turned out to be the missing PAX so now
all the baggage had to go back on the plane.  I don't know if they
would hold a 747 Intl Flite for a missing PAX who had baggage on board
or not.  I sure miss the old days when we used the Crew's gates and
used Official Passports to bypass customs.
