[Kenwood] TS-450S/AT Side Tone OFF

2nd Request . . . either this was overlooked or nobody on this list knows
the answer:

With side tone control VR7 is fully counter clockwise but the side tone
remains in the head/earphones.  

How can the side tone be turned OFF completely, so it cannot be heard in
the head/earphones?
