[Kenwood] TS-570D(G) Question

Hi Kenwood folks,

Regarding my recent message in which I said:

"I recently added a Kenwood 500Hz CW filter to my TS-570D(G). After installing the filter and enabling it via the menu, I have observed the following:

1. In the CW mode, with the DSP filter set to 600Hz or less bandwidth, received CW signals virtually disappear unless the IF shift control is moved from its detent to approximately the 2 o'clock position. 

2. With the same settings as above, the rig will not transmit on CW. If the 500Hz filter is disabled, it will transmit.  

Am I overlooking something in the settings?

I pulled the 500Hz CW filter out of my TS-850S and put it in the TS-570D(G), and that solved the above problems. Even 'though it was advertised as a "YK-88C-1", the used filter that I had purchased for the '570 was marked "YK-88C", and it was installed on a plug-in board. The filter in the '850 was marked "YK-88C-1", also installed on a plug-in board. Upon further research, I found the center frequencies of the two filters are 700Hz apart. The "YK-88C" is intended for the TS-830, TS-440 and others. The other filter is for more modern rigs like the TS-850, TS-570 and others. Probably everyone knows that but me, but just in case you buy CW filters for Kenwood rigs, please make sure you have the correct part number.
