[Kenwood] TS-570D(G) Question

Hi,

I recently added a Kenwood 500Hz CW filter to my TS-570D(G). After installing the filter and enabling it via the menu, I have observed the following:

1. In the CW mode, with the DSP filter set to 600Hz or less bandwidth, received CW signals virtually disappear unless the IF shift control is moved from its detent to approximately the 2 o'clock position. 

2. With the same settings as above, the rig will not transmit on CW. If the 500Hz filter is disabled, it will transmit.  

Am I overlooking something in the settings?
