[Kenwood] Modifying a YO-901 bandscope

Hello all
Got a great bunch of answers on my last question, so I figured I'd try another. I have a yaesu YO-901 which is the yaesu equiv of the SM-230. I noticed that the IF freq of the Yaesu is 8988.3 KHz and my TS-850 is 8830. I am wondering if anybody has ever modified a YO-901 to work with a Kenwood rig. 
I'd prefer a 230, but I already have the 901 so I figured I would use it for the time being if possible.
