Hello all. I finally got my 520 in the pickup last week. Now I'm finding 
that when I use the tune function, and key the transmitter, it's fine, 
but when I switch to CW to fine tune, my meter rises, then falls, while 
the key is still down. The first time I used it, the truck was in the 
garage for a couple of hours while I installed the power cable, but 
otherwise it's been outside here in Ohio, where the temp has been 5 - 25 
F. Could the problem be due to the battery and alternator being cold, 
maybe a poor ground, or possibly just not having a heavy enough 
alternator? I have a '96 Ford Ranger, and I believe everthing in is 
stock. I've looked online and can't yet find the ratings for my alternator.

btw, it still performs great on AC power. Problem even on dummy load in 
the truck.
