[Kenwood] TS-940SAT & SO-1

Hello,

    I was recently pondering about my TS-940SAT station which I've had since
November, and I couldn't find answers to all of the questions I came up
with, so I figured that some of the experts might be able to better inform
me about the rig.

1.)  I was told and saw that the radio is literally packed and maxed out
with filters and optional units, however I am not certain if it has the TXCO
unit (SO-1) installed.  Is there any way to determine if the radio has it,
other than ripping everything apart to see the PC board where it is soldered
in?  If it isn't installed, I think it may be the only option the radio
doesn't have.

2.) I believe that the radio's serial number is in the 6 millions.  Are
there any things I should check to verify that service bulletin suggested
fixes/upgrades have been performed or are unnecessary?  I haven't noticed
any problems so far, but it would be easier to spot any if I knew what to
look for.  I know there are a fair number of SB's but which ones are really
critical vs tweaks?

3.) The radio, SP-940, MC-60A, and HC-10 are all in fairly impeccable shape,
as they were previously owned by a radio collector.  I am looking to
purchase a SM-220 w/ BS-8 and cables in similar shape sometime in the near
future, as funds allow.  Are there any other optional units besides the
TL-922a amp (which is out of the budget, unless a steal passes me by) that
were part of what was considered the "station" setup?  Unfortunately, the
original sales brochure is one of the few pieces of paperwork not with the
station, so I'm not sure if I am familiar with all the accessories.
