Hello Dan...
    The tubes are essentially the same. I'm not too sure about the S-2001(A)
tubes other than they were the original tubes used
in the vintage of the 520/820 radios. The 6146 tubes are replacements for
the 2001, and I think the (B) version had slightly higher output.
I had a TS-820S radio with original 2001 tubes which I replaced with
6146B's, and later had a TS-830S which had 6146B tubes.
Hope this info helps.
    I don't have a DK-520 adapter, so can't help there!
