[Kenwood] packet help

I just got a KW TMD700A and cannot get it tork on packet as may have the 
wrong computer program  I want to use it with a computer so what is a good 
program to do so  I have Winpack and it dont seem to do anything except 
with I turn it on I get a P1 and a P0 when it I turn it off (the radio)  I 
cannot get a mycall or anything to go and cannot conect   If this program 
dont work what does? Thanks
