ts-940s ser.no. 5100104 the power output is about 110 watts on all bands in cw. when using fsk (rtty), the power starts at about 110 watts and slowly drifts down to 20 or 30 watts. going back and checking cw, the output is still about 110 watts. Whistling into the mike in either ssb position without the processor on indicates 110 watts into a dummy load. with the processor on the ssb power output when whistling is 20 or 30 watts. The problem seems to be related to the processor. from a cold start the power output drifts from high to low in about 15 minutes, and will stay at the low level if checked hours later. Turning the rig off for about an hour and checking power out in fsk and ssb with the processor on will start high and drift to low again. The power supply voltage holds steady at close to 28.5 volts. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Don kb8f, 73
